Hi Peeps :)
so I know that I'm a terrible person for not posting in almost 6 months :O
BUT, I have something pretty interesting I wanted to talk about. So one day last week I opened the internet, which automatically opens CNN, and I saw an interesting headline. There was a protest on Wall Street. Call me dense, since it's been going on for several weeks now, but nevertheless, I was intrigued. You don't really hear about large-scale protests anymore, they're just not that common. Granted there was there was the anarchist "protest" outside the Republic National Convention in St Paul in 2008, but showing up in masks doesn't really send the message of peace even if they were non-violent. And then there was the teacher's strike in Wisconsin earlier this year, but that also was not very big.
No, this is the biggest protest in some time. One of the cool things that I learned in the article last week, was that the majority (at least at that time, I'm not sure about now) of protesters were people in their twenties who were fed up with the state of the nation. Finally someone had the idea to actually do something rather than grumble. Now I know that I'm being quite passive in this sense since I'd never have the guts to do something like this, but still, I'm proud that something's happening.
One thing that I have to point out is that even if there are older people now joining the protest, it was essentially born from the college students and recent graduates. I guess it's not that surprising since it's well-known that college students are more liberal than many people who are older. I'm seriously proud of these leaders of my generation who took matters into their own hands, and did (and are doing) so without violence.
Another cool thing is that the protests aren't just in New York anymore. All over the country young people have started their own protests.Even in Minneapolis a protest has started and people are standing up for change. :)
I'm excited lol
Peace and Love everyone!!

little sisters of the sun lit candles in the rain ☮
Hi everybody!
I know I'm late for Earth Day, but I've been super busy with one thing and another. Unfortunately due to previously made plans, I wasn't able to do something special to celebrate, not even light my candle to the Goddess, although I'm pretty sure she understands since I spent a much-needed girls night with my three best friends after a stressful and emotionally draining week. Anyway, I think I want to talk a little bit about something one of my best friends (Dear Mother Nature) said when we were discussing the recent crazy weather.
In the past few weeks the weather has shifted from the 70s to snowing to spring-like 50s and 60s and raining...not to mention the strange weather patterns around the globe; Japan, case in point. My friend stated that she thought Mother Nature must be really pissed off. I agreed, and really, should we be surprised? Humans really haven't been treating the Earth like a living thing, we've been using it as if it's a slave that is at our beck and call. I'm not saying that I'm a saint or anything, I'm terrible with remembering to recycle things and sometimes I'm just plain lazy, I'll admit.

Anyway, I made the observation that Mother Nature is acting rather like a hormonal teenager and my friend pointed out that it is Spring and that she's either still pregnant or suffering from postpartum depression. This conversation which began almost flippantly, seriously opened my mind and go me thinking about the fact that Mother Nature is really a force to be reckoned with and also one to cherished and respected. This strengthens my respect Celtic Pagan teachings and Wiccan teachings because they are worshippers of the Earth and all things natural...yea that's very tangential.
I gots to go now, but I'll write later.
Peace and Love always,
B

It's the time of the season for loving
Happy New Year!!!
I haven't written in like four months! dang...
anyway, so much has happened since september! One of the biggest things that happened was that I saw the Script LIVE! IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! The Script are a band from Dublin they have rock, alternative, and hip hop influences and are great. It was awesome to see them live especially since they talked and joked right along with the audience. All three band members were very easygoing and it was really funny to see one of the bandmembers even have a beer on stage. ;) One of the best things about the concert? The SEXY AS HELL Irish accents that just made me melt <3 It was a great night.
Another thing that happened is that I saw Rent for the first time. My friend finally convinced me that it was worth seeing....i now completely agree. ;)
Angel is my favorite!! I cried so hard when he died. The music is fabulous and it's just.....words don't give it justice
Thirdly, I discovered the music group called Blackmore's Night. They are a folk rock group with heavy renaissance influences. I heard them on Pandora when listening to my Celtic New Age station and I really like them. They are really inspirational and I hope to get alot more of their music. ;)
Finally, one of my Christmas presents from my dad was two tickets to see Hair in March. I already saw the play this summer, but it was only an amateur production. That's not to say that it wasn't amazing! The guy playing Claude was soooo hot. However, this is the traveling Broadway show.....I'm going to see a BROADWAY SHOW!!! I am sooooo excited!! lol yay for hippies ;)
Peace and Love everyone, keep dreaming
